Donald Tusk, the president of the European People’s Party, has gone into self-isolation after developing symptoms associated with COVID-19, a party official said Wednesday,
“As of yesterday, 27 October, President Tusk has been self-isolating with symptoms,” the official said. “He is awaiting test results.”
On October 15, Tusk chaired a meeting of EPP prime ministers and other senior party figures before an EU summit in Brussels.
Tusk, a former president of the European Council and ex-prime minister of Poland, took over the leadership of the EPP — the alliance of center-right parties from across Europe — in December last year.
