We launched POLITICO Europe nearly six years ago promising to make the EU sexy. We’ll let you be the judges of whether we’ve succeeded or not, but meanwhile we’ve decided to give our website a facelift to ensure that our packaging is as attractive as our content.
Today we’re relaunching politico.eu with a fresh look and improved features to highlight the depth and breadth of journalism produced by our European newsrooms.
POLITICO now has 80 journalists across Europe committed to keeping you ahead of the news, with scoops that put you in the room where decisions are being made, profiles of decision makers, investigations that hold them accountable, and a rich menu of features, analysis, data & visuals, columns and opinion.
The new homepage is designed for clarity and flexibility, helping you to catch up quickly on the top news of the day, with a new navigation bar that guides you straight to the topics that matter to you. Its improved technical and visual capabilities mean we can tell you those stories in a more compelling way.
For those who rely on politico.eu for research, we’ve introduced a powerful search tool that will help you find the content that you need quickly and efficiently.
Additionally, our coverage of U.K. politics and policy has expanded so much that it now gets its own homepage — www.politico.co.uk.
In the words of our Creative Director, Tim Ball: “The two goals of this process for me were to create a clear sense of hierarchy and to improve readability throughout the site.” We believe we’ve achieved this – but we’d love to hear your feedback. Don’t hesitate to get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At POLITICO, we believe in constant innovation. That means we’ll continue to make improvements to our new homepage and all our other platforms to ensure you get the most out of our journalism.
Hoping you enjoy the new politico.eu,
Stephen Brown, Editor in Chief
