CANADA – West Island music festival goes virtual during pandemic

The annual Festival de la Voix — presented by West Island-based Vox Aeterna — will be held virtually this year due to the pandemic . The eighth edition kicks off March 14 and runs until April 10.

The lineup includes Canadian composers and musicians in four concerts and three workshops. The free concerts (though donations are appreciated) will be live-streamed from venues located in Beaconsfield, Dorval and Pointe-Claire. Quartom, pictured, is a male vocal quartet that will perform a cappella repertoire on April 10.https://www.dianomi.com/smartads.epl?id=3533

Workshops will be offered via Zoom, including Vocal Technique with Claudel Callender, Songwriting with Connie Kaldor and Master Class for Soloists with Natalie Choquette.

“We hope that these concerts and workshops will bring joy, solace and a sense of well-being to all who have the opportunity to join us,” stated festival founder and director Kerry-Anne Kutz.
