Mounties are appealing to the public for help in identifying a man who approached a teen on two separate occasions
In the first incident, the man approached a 14-year-old on a walking trail near Blueridge Elementary at around 7 p.m. on Nov. 18 asking for his help to find a lost dog.
The teen also reported being approached by the same man the next day, at around 3 p.m. on a walking trail near Seymour Heights Elementary.
North Vancouver RCMP is conducting a “suspicious person investigation.”
“We have no reason to believe there is any heightened risk to the public at this time,” said Const. Kelly McIntyre in a statement. “However, we would like to speak with the man.”
Police have released a composite sketch of the man. He is described as Caucasian, in his mid-30s, 5-foot-7, skinny with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who has information is asked to contact North Van RCMP at 604-985-1311 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
