If 2022 seems a little hazy to you, it might be because the year started off with smog and fog advisories from Environment Canada
Stop using your wood-burning stove, the federal meteorological agency urged citizens as part of its smog warning. The advisory, which covers the Montreal, Laval, Châteauguay and Longueuil regions, warns of high concentrations of pollutants that will result in poor air quality Saturday.
The fog advisory was ended just before 10 a.m.
The daily forecast calls for periods of rain or drizzle and a high of 3 degrees Celsius. Saturday night could dip as low as minus-5 C with snow or rain.
The rest of the week tells a story of ups and downs — just like 2021.
