New York authorities have a person of interest in custody in relation to the Nov. 16 shooting of New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd, which took place in midtown Manhattan, according to police on Monday. No charges have been filed.
The NYPD spokesperson did not provide any information on the detained individual’s part in the shooting, and underscored that the investigation remains ongoing. The arrest takes place more than three weeks after the shooting, which left Boyd critically wounded.
NYPD did not immediately return a request for more details.
It was not clear what happened before the shooting, which occurred just after 2 a.m. outside Sei Less restaurant on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue, about halfway between Madison Square Garden and Times Square. Two shots were fired, with one bullet striking Boyd in the abdomen….
