How did your career begin in acting, and what was your first significant experience in this field?
Ever since I can remember, I wanted to become an actress. My first significant role was in the “Sweet and Sour Wine” series with actress Betty Livanou on Antenna TV.
Which collaborations have left the greatest impact on you and why?
Every collaboration leaves something useful, something I need to learn about myself and beyond. However, I particularly remember the play “Dionysian Night” by actor and author Stefanos Kakavoulis because it involved children with special needs and was a challenging yet beautiful journey.
How do you manage to balance between family life and professional commitments?
Balancing family and professional life is difficult, especially for us women because we lack support and take on many roles. But with willingness and love, everything is possible.
How has the experience of motherhood influenced your approach to acting?
I believe motherhood has made me dive even deeper into uncharted waters and aspire to become a better person and actress as well.
What is the key to maintaining long-lasting friendships in the acting field?
Friendship is a very important part of my life. It’s sacred. I have two or three friends from school and some from acting. There’s no recipe; time reveals everything for all of us.
How do you deal with the pressure of social media and how do you choose your posts?
I have a love-hate relationship with social media. I use them only for my work. Because I have a public platform, I want to positively influence those who follow me, so I’m careful about the messages I convey.
What are the most significant changes you’ve noticed in how you approach your roles in acting over the years?
As the years go by and I gain experience, I thirst for learning and diving deeper. Also, narcissism has completely disappeared, and I feel free to portray a role.
What is your next career step, and what is the biggest challenge you face?
I’m still discussing it; I haven’t finalized anything yet, but I can announce it soon. The biggest challenge we face in our work is looking for work twice a year and dealing with financial instability.
How do you choose your roles, and what criteria guide you in this choice?
It depends on which phase I am in my life and what I want to do. With my instinct and considering who else will be in the team.
How would you describe your personal philosophy regarding the art of acting and its role in society?
Art awakens!!! It triggers emotions, elevates, enlightens, judges and teaches yourself to see comprehensively what is happening within you and thus in the society we live in.
