Why California Animal Shelters Are Facing a Record Number of Abandoned Pets

In recent years, shelters throughout California have become overwhelmed with abandoned dogs and cats, leading to more of the animals being euthanized, say pet advocates.
Why this has happened and solutions on how to turn around the issue were discussed on a recent episode of EpochTV’s “California Insider,” where Zach Skow, the founder of Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue, located in Central California about 40 miles southeast of Bakersfield, sat down with host Siyamak Khorrami.
