Georgia Court Removes Fani Willis From Trump Case; Republicans Agree on New Funding Bill Backed by Trump

A state appeals court disqualified Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the Georgia election case against President-elect Donald Trump and other co-defendants. This means it will be up to the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia to find another prosecutor to take over the case and decide whether to continue pursuing it.
House Republicans agreed on a new stopgap measure to avert a shutdown set to begin Friday and fund the government for three more months. Trump also expressed support for the new measure, calling it a very good deal.
