McConnell Urges Trump to Ask 2 ‘Un-Retiring’ Judges to Recuse Themselves From Cases

Outgoing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on Monday that President-elect Donald Trump’s administration should ask two judges who reversed their retirement decisions in recent weeks to recuse themselves in certain cases.
During remarks on the Senate floor on Monday, McConnell urged the incoming administration to “explore all available recusal options” in cases that come before two federal judges.
The GOP leader accused the two judges of engaging in “open partisanship” by “un-retiring” and suggested they did so after Trump’s victory in early November.
“They rolled the dice that a Democrat could replace them and now that he won’t, they’re changing their plans to keep a Republican from doing it,” McConnel said….
