The head of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) warned President-elect Donald Trump that the United States would face new threats if Ukraine is forced to make concessions to Russia in the ongoing war.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte told the Financial Times in an interview published on Dec. 2 that the United States would face a “dire threat” from China, North Korea, and Iran if the Trump administration pushes for a deal that Rutte believes wouldn’t be beneficial for Ukraine.
“We cannot have a situation where we have Kim Jong Un and the Russian leader and Xi Jinping and Iran high-fiving because we came to a deal which is not good for Ukraine,” he told the publication. “Long-term that will be a dire security threat not only to Europe but also to the U.S.”…
