Multiple People Dead, Dozens Injured After Vehicle Plows Into Crowd in New Orleans: Officials

Multiple people are dead and dozens of others are injured after a vehicle drove into a large crowd in New Orleans, the city’s Homeland Security agency said.
The vehicle drove into a crowd at approximately 3:15 a.m. local time on Canal and Bourbon Street, NOLA Ready said.
The agency and the New Orleans Police Department did not immediately respond to requests for more details.
“We are urging residents and visitors to stay clear of the area and call 911 for emergencies only,” NOLA Ready wrote on Facebook. 
The location is near where the city’s New Year’s parade wrapped up on New Year’s Eve, and just blocks from the Caesars Superdome, which was set to host the Allstate Sugar Bowl game later on Wednesday….
