Trump Says Black Hawk Helicopter Flew Too High; American Among 3 Hostages to Be Released Saturday

President Donald Trump said on Friday that the military helicopter involved in the collision with an American Airlines plane near Washington was flying too high at the time of the accident, in which 67 people were killed. “The Black Hawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far above the 200-foot limit,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. The crash is under investigation by federal transportation authorities.
