Vice President-elect JD Vance underwent a planned surgery after attending the kickoff to the new Congress, according to his spokesperson on Friday.
Vance was admitted to George Washington Hospital in the afternoon.
“The Vice President-elect is having long-planned, minor sinus surgery and will be back at work tomorrow,” William Martin, Vance’s spokesperson, told Fox News.
NTD, The Epoch Times’ sister media, reached out to Vance’s communications director for a statement and did not receive an immediate response.
Earlier in the day, Vance attended the swearing-in of senators at the U.S. Capitol.
