The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday announced it was forming a multi-agency task force to counter antisemitism in schools and on college campuses.
The task force will be headed by Leo Terrell, a senior counsel to the assistant attorney general for civil rights, and will be coordinated through the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division.
“Antisemitism in any environment is repugnant to this nation’s ideals,” Terrell said in a press release. “The department takes seriously our responsibility to eradicate this hatred wherever it is found. The Task Force to Combat Antisemitism is the first step in giving life to President [Donald] Trump’s renewed commitment to ending antisemitism in our schools.”…
