SoCal Teacher’s Assistant Held on Suspicion of Sex Crimes With Minor

A Southern California high school bilingual assistant was arrested Feb. 25 on suspicion of child sex crimes, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Chantalle Hermosa Jaramillo, 36, of Victorville remained in custody at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday in lieu of $150,000 bail, according to inmate records.
Detectives were tipped off Dec. 10, 2024, about allegations of inappropriate conduct with a minor by a bilingual assistant at Oak Hills High School in Hesperia, about 80 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
Following an investigation, detectives arrested Jaramillo on Tuesday.
Jaramillo was booked into the detention center for allegedly contacting a minor to commit a sex act, oral copulation of a person under 18, and unlawful sex with a minor three or more years younger than the defendant, according to the sheriff’s department….
