Vice President JD Vance on Friday confirmed that a staffer with Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was let go after making inappropriate statements but said that DOGE should “bring him back.”
Vance’s statement appeared to confirm a Wall Street Journal report citing anonymous sources saying that DOGE staffer Marko Elez resigned over now-deleted social media posts.
In a post on X, responding to a poll released by Musk to reinstate Elez, Vance wrote, “I obviously disagree with some of Elez’s posts, but I don’t think stupid social media activity should ruin a kid’s life.”…
