Hyundai Announces $21 Billion Investment in the US; Trump Proposes 25 Percent Tariffs on Countries Buying Oil From Venezuela

South Korea’s Hyundai announced a $21 billion investment in the United States today, with President Donald Trump at the White House. The investment includes a $5.8 billion steel plant in Louisiana, which is expected to produce over 2.7 million metric tons of steel annually.
Trump also held his third Cabinet roundtable today, where each department outlined plans to execute the administration’s policy agenda. Much of the discussion centered around efforts to reduce wasteful government spending.
Additionally, Trump proposed a 25 percent tariff on any country that buys oil or gas from Venezuela. He posted on Truth Social that the secondary tariff would apply to all trade with the United States….
