A 7-year-old girl died after being struck by a falling boulder at Diamond Peak Ski Resort in Incline Village, Nevada, according to the ski resort and local officials.
Adelyn Grimes of Reno was pronounced dead at the scene on March 29, the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed. The cause of death was determined to be “blunt force injuries of the neck and chest,” and the manner of death was ruled accidental, according to the medical examiner’s statement to NTD, a sister media outlet of The Epoch Times.
The ski resort said in a statement released Sunday, one day after the accident, that medical services were called at approximately 3:38 p.m. to respond to a “non-skiing accident” involving a child.
