Man Critically Injured After Car Drives Away From Toronto-Area Gas Station With Nozzle Attached

A 63-year-old man sustained “life-threatening” injuries after being hit by a gas pump hose while another man drove away with the nozzle still attached to his vehicle, Toronto police say. 
Officers were called to a gas station in Etobicoke at approximately 5:30 p.m. April 7 for a report of a collision, police said in a press release.
A man driving a 2003 silver Mercedes-Benz E500 left the gas station with the nozzle still attached to his car, police said in the April 8 press release. The hose detached from the gas pump and hit the 63-year-old, causing him to fall. He was transported to hospital with severe injuries….
