Montreal buses may re-introduce the “Go Habs Go” message on buses, after removing the English words and changing them to “Allez Canadiens Allez” following a language complaint. However, it might not be for some time, according to the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) board of directors.
STM, Montreal’s public transit operator, removed the English language words from its buses after the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF) said it received a complaint over the use of English rather than French. STM said it was then ordered to change the language to French.
