President Donald Trump is hosting an open-press cabinet meeting on Wednesday, where each cabinet member discusses their achievements in the first 100 days of the second Trump administration, along with their plans for the future.
The U.S. economy declined 0.3 percent in the first quarter, down from a 2.4 percent expansion in the previous quarter, as a spike in imports and a deceleration in consumer spending weighed on the country’s growth prospects, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. GDP data indicates that the decline was also a reflection of a decrease in government spending.
