President Donald Trump’s second term has been characterized by swift action and stiff opposition.
Benefiting from four years of experience followed by four years of preparation, Trump launched a barrage of executive orders within hours of taking the oath of office on Jan. 20. The relentless pace continued as Trump issued new executive orders, memoranda, and proclamations nearly every day, more than 220 in all.
Political opponents also wasted no time resisting many of the president’s initiatives, challenging some actions in court and protesting others in the streets.
