RCMP in Nova Scotia have arrested a man who was the subject of an emergency alert issued to residents in the province’s Lunenburg County on May 14.
Richard MacInnis, 44, of Nova Scotia, was wanted by police on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for violating parole conditions, and was believed to be armed at the time the emergency alert was sent out, RCMP said in a release.
The emergency alert was issued to Lunenburg County residents on the morning May 14, warning of a “dangerous man who may be armed.”
“Seek immediate shelter or stay inside and close and lock doors and windows. Do not leave a secure location,” RCMP Nova Scotia said in a social media post following the alert….
