President Trump Says China Violated Trade Deal | Business Matters (May 30)

President Donald Trump said China has violated its tariff agreement with the United States. Trump said that he made a “fast deal” in mid-May with Chinese officials for both countries to back away from triple-digit tariffs for 90 days. He said he did this to save China from a “devastating” situation, including factory closings and civil unrest after U.S. tariffs were imposed of up to 145 percent on Chinese imports.
