President Donald Trump issued a scathing criticism of the conservative legal group The Federalist Society in a May 30 Truth Social post following a court order to block the administration’s tariff policy on foreign imports.
In his Truth Social post, Trump expressed dismay at the group that advised him regarding appointing judges during his first presidential term.
“I was new to Washington, and it was suggested that I use The Federalist Society as a recommending source on Judges. I did so, openly and freely,” he said.
The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies is a group of “conservatives and libertarians interested in the current state of the legal order,” according to the association’s website….
