House Republicans on Friday launched an investigation into a China-based billionaire allegedly backing protest groups in the United States, including one reportedly linked to the riots over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in Los Angeles.
The probe targets Neville Singham, a Chicago-born businessman who currently resides in Shanghai with his wife, Jodie Evans, a prominent social justice activist and co-founder of advocacy group CODEPINK.
