Former judge and Fox News host Jeanine Pirro has been nominated to serve a full term as the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, according to Senate records.
Pirro currently serves in the role on an interim basis after being sworn in last month. Her nomination for a full four-year term has been referred to the Judiciary Committee for consideration, Senate records show.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on Tuesday that he had met with Pirro, referring to her as President Donald Trump’s “nominee to be U.S. attorney for Washington DC.”…
