New Tory MP Critical of COVID Policies Warns of Socialist Trend in Canada

An Ontario physician who had been critical of public health restrictions during the pandemic carried his message to the House of Commons after being elected as an MP on April 28.
Conservative MP Matt Strauss said he enjoyed being a doctor, but he put his career on pause to “speak truth to power” on behalf of the constituents of the Kitchener South-Hespeler riding.
Strauss defeated incumbent Liberal MP Valerie Bradford by a little over a thousand votes in the riding west of Toronto.
“I will be happy to go back to being a physician and professor once I can practise in truth and freedom again and once we can all live in truth and freedom again,” Stauss said in the House on June 2….
