The Salt Lake City Police Department said on Sunday that “an innocent bystander” was shot and killed during a confrontation that occurred during the “No Kings” anti-Trump protest in the city.
Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, a 39-year-old resident of Utah, was fatally shot while attending protests against federal immigration enforcement raids in downtown Salt Lake City on June 14. Police said that Ah Loo was not the intended target of the gunfire.
The gunfire was intended to stop 24-year-old Arturo Gamboa, after he allegedly raised his rifle during a confrontation with the event’s peacekeeping team members. Police believe that Gamboa was also serving as a peacekeeper for the “No Kings” event….
