SCOTUS Makes Final Rulings Before Current Session Ends; Trump Announces New US–China Trade Deal

The U.S. Supreme Court will issue decisions on the final six cases left on its docket for the summer. One closely watched dispute involves religious objections to LGBT-themed materials in public schools. Other Decisions released today will be related to appeals on birthright citizenship, an online age verification law in Texas, the Education Department’s firing of nearly 1,400 workers and DOGE-related government job cuts.
President Donald Trump confirmed a new trade agreement with Beijing on Thursday, but didn’t go into the details. Trump told reporters the United States was starting to open up China.
