President Donald Trump said on June 5 he is “very disappointed” with Elon Musk and is not sure if he will continue to have a great relationship with the Tesla head.
“He was upset because we took the EV mandate, which was a lot of money for electric vehicles … and they want us to pay billions of dollars in subsidy,” Trump said in the Oval Office during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
This was in reference to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passed by the House, which would end the $7,500 EV tax credit at the end of 2026. It is pending before the Senate….
