Northern California Man Faces Murder Charge in Son’s DUI Death

A Napa County man was charged with murder on July 22 after authorities alleged he was driving while intoxicated when his 10-year-old son died in a vehicle accident in Northern California.
District Attorney Allison Haley filed numerous additional felony charges against Aaron Brian Kennedy, 35, of Angwin, including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence (DUI) causing injury, and driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content causing injury with a prior conviction.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said Kennedy was driving with his son at about 4:40 p.m. on July 18 when he crashed a 2010 Toyota Corolla head-on into a 2013 Nissan Sentra near Chiles Pope Valley Road and Barnett Road, in Pope Valley—about 80 miles north of San Francisco, according to local news site KRON….
