White House Unveils Crypto Report With Recommendations on Making US a Digital Assets Innovator

The White House released a cryptocurrency report on July 30 that provides recommendations for regulators to help establish a framework that fosters U.S. innovation in the digital assets sector.
The report was developed by a cryptocurrency working group established by President Donald Trump and made up of several federal government officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
According to a fact sheet released alongside the report, the working group called on Congress to eliminate existing gaps in regulatory oversight by providing the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) with “authority to oversee spot markets for non-security digital assets.”
The group also recommended that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the CFTC facilitate the trading of digital assets at the federal level and ensure that innovative financial products are able to reach consumers “without bureaucratic delays.”…
