The search for a mother and her infant daughter, missing for over a month, ended on Aug. 17, as divers recovered two bodies from a submerged vehicle, the Fresno Police Department said.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said that its dive team located an adult and an infant inside a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer with the same description of the SUV associated with the missing persons case.
Official identification by the medical examiner’s office is pending, but the remains are believed to be those of 36-year-old Whisper Owen and her 8-month-old daughter, Sandra McCarty, who have been missing for more than a month….
