Majority in B.C. Want Government Bureaucracy Reduced: Poll

A majority of British Columbians want the province to reduce the size and cost of the provincial bureaucracy, according to a recent poll from Leger.
The poll, released Aug. 29 by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF), shows an overall trend of British Columbians feeling that government-provided services have not improved while bureaucracy has increased.
The poll was conducted Aug. 26 by Leger among 1,004 random B.C. residents aged 18 and over. It found that 56 percent of respondents want to reduce the number of provincial employees and expenses, 21 percent were unsure, 19 percent want to keep the bureaucracy at current levels and only 4 percent want to put more funding into hiring provincial staff….
