Man Injured After Confronting Alleged Car Thieves: Toronto Police

Toronto police said a man was hurt after confronting suspects allegedly attempting to steal a vehicle from a residential driveway.
Toronto Police Service said the man confronted two individuals who were allegedly stealing a vehicle in the Dufferin Street and Rogers Road area. The man was hit with a hard object during the confrontation, according to police.
Police said the man did not sustain a life-threatening injury and that the two suspects fled the area without stealing the vehicle.
The incident comes after the provincial government announced legislation earlier in the year aimed at cracking down on auto theft.
