One in Custody After 14-hour Shelter-in-Place Order in Iqaluit: RCMP

RCMP in Iqaluit have lifted a nearly 14-hour shelter-in-place that started after shots were fired from a home on Tasilik Street.
RCMP say officers received reports of shots being fired from a home at 12:50 a.m. Saturday.
A news release from the Mounties says additional shots were fired from the home when police arrived on the scene, and the Mounties issued a shelter-in-place order via the Alert Ready System at 1:18 a.m.
Nearly 14 hours after the advisory was issued, RCMP said in a 5 p.m. Facebook update that the shelter-in-place advisory was lifted and people were free to return to the area….
