Three police officers were shot and killed while two others were injured in a shooting in North Cordorus Township, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 17, according to state police.
The shooter was killed by police, authorities said.
The shooting took place in rural North Cordorus Township, which is roughly 115 miles west of Philadelphia and close to the Maryland border.
“The grief will be unbearable but we will bear it,” Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris said at a news conference. “We will not rest until we conduct a full, fair, and competent investigation into this matter.”
