Lich Says She Won’t ‘Apologize’ After Sentencing in Freedom Convoy Trial

Freedom Convoy Leader Tamara Lich said following her sentencing for mischief that she will not apologize for the role she played in the Freedom Convoy, saying the protest positively impacted thousands of Canadians.
Lich said on Oct. 8 that she had discussed with her lawyer Lawrence Greenspon whether she should express remorse prior to the sentencing hearing. “I told him I would not, and could not, express remorse as it would be dishonest and disingenuous,” she said in a post on social media, adding, “To whom shall I apologize?”
Lich said it would not make sense to apologize to the Canadians who were able to return to their jobs after the pandemic restrictions ended, who were able to visit their ailing family members, or who “stopped planning to take their own lives when the convoy started.”…
