Nova Scotia has launched a new online portal that aims to allow mining companies to apply for and track their licence and permit applications online.
The province intends to make doing business in the mining sector easier in Nova Scotia through its new portal, called NovaMINE, an Oct. 14 news release says. The portal will “streamline” mine permitting and provide additional transparency for the entire permitting process.
“NovaMINE represents a modern way of doing business,” Nova Scotia Natural Resources Minister Tory Rushton said in an Oct. 14 statement. “It is simplifying the permitting process without cutting any corners. It will give industry better access to information and further shows that Nova Scotia is open for responsible resource development.”…
