Two Montreal public transit unions have reached tentative agreements with their employer, while two others are still without a deal.
The union representing 1,300 administrative and technical employees negotiated a tentative agreement on Sunday with the transit agency, two days after the union for 4,500 bus drivers and metro operators reached a deal.
All eyes are now on the unions for 2,400 maintenance workers and 800 professionals such as engineers and architects.
The maintenance workers had planned to strike between Nov. 2-28 but their union suspended the walkout on Nov. 11 to give more opportunity for negotiations.
Meanwhile, the professionals union recently obtained a 10-day strike mandate but has not yet announced when it will exercise it….
