Border Agency Has 500 Officers Looking for 32,000 Illegal Immigrants: President

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has approximately 500 officers handling the removal of more than 32,000 unaccounted-for illegal immigrants, the agency’s president says.
CBSA President Erin O’Gorman testified before a House of Commons public safety committee on Nov. 6, along with Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree, to discuss the Liberal government’s Bill C-12, also known as the Strengthening Canada’s Immigration System and Borders Act.
Conservative MP Frank Caputo asked O’Gorman how many CBSA officers are looking for the more than 32,000 absconded illegal immigrants, who O’Gorman previously told the committee there are warrants out for.
“Approximately 500 people are doing removals,” O’Gorman told MPs at the Nov. 6 committee meeting, noting there are 1,000 inland enforcement officers in total who deal with the enforcement of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act….
