President Donald Trump confirmed on Nov. 30 that he has spoken with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro amid rising tensions between the two nations.
“I don’t want to comment on it. The answer is yes,” Trump said while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One.
It follows a New York Times report that Trump and Maduro spoke earlier this month and discussed possibly meeting in the United States, but the U.S. president did not provide any details of what they discussed.
It also comes one day after Trump announced that all airspace over Venezuela should be considered “closed in its entirety.”…
