Seven children impacted by the war between Russia and Ukraine have been reunited with their families in Ukraine, U.S. First Lady Melania Trump announced on Dec. 4.
“My dedication to guaranteeing the safe return of children to their families in this region is unwavering,” Melania Trump said in a statement.
“I commend the leadership and persistent diplomacy of Russia and Ukraine in the pursuit of the reunification of children and families,” she said.
“Their bridge-building has created a tangible collaborative environment—an anchor for optimism. This cooperation will continue to drive the process forward through the next phase.”
The first lady went on to say that the United States has provided humanitarian support to further the initiative of reuniting these children with their families and that doing so “will lead to broader regional stability.”…
