Border Agency Reports More Than 400 Staff Misconduct Cases

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) employees were involved in hundreds of misconduct cases over the past year, according to a recent agency report.
The agency’s first report on Addressing Misconduct and Wrongdoing at the Canada Border Services Agency was published on Dec. 18 and looked at misconduct cases from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
The border agency said it launched 408 cases over that period and closed 364 cases, with 71 percent of those having a founded allegation.
The closed misconduct cases involved five executives, 30 managers, and 332 other employees, according to the report.
