Power has been restored to a majority of San Francisco after a fire inside a utility substation knocked out service to 130,000 customers on Dec. 20.
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) first reported the outage Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and was able to restore power to 95,000 customers before midnight.
An additional 15,000 customers had the lights back on around 7:00 a.m.
As of noon PST, on Dec. 21, just over 15,000 customers in high-traffic areas remained without power, according to PG&E’s outage map.
