Calgary’s Field of Crosses started in 2009 and has grown to become one of the city’s most powerful and moving tributes to those who served in the military and died for the freedoms of Canadians. Founded by Murray McCann and the late George Bittman, the tribute along Memorial Drive now includes more than 3,500 crosses.
