A recall has been issued for several brands of bread in three provinces after metal fragments were discovered in some of the products.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling eight brands of white, brown, and multigrain breads as well as hotdog and hamburger buns sold in Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
A total of 37 products from Country Harvest, Deli World, D’Italiano, Giant Value, Great Value, No Name, President’s Choice, and Wonder have been recalled.
CFIA is advising consumers not to eat any of the products listed in its Nov. 4 advisory.
The firm that initiated the recall, Wonder Brands Inc., said the bread advisory is linked to the Oct. 30 CFIA recall of Sifto brand Hy·Grade Salt after metal was found in its bulk products….
