A 16-month-long investigation into a B.C. criminal organization by Surrey RCMP has culminated in one of the largest illegal drugs busts ever recorded by the federal policing agency.
A series of seven searches executed by the Surrey RCMP drug unit in Surrey, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Vancouver, and Richmond uncovered substantial quantities of cocaine, MDMA, methamphetamine, and fentanyl as well as prescription and counterfeit prescription pills, police said in a Nov. 20 release.
Police also seized several prohibited firearms, ammunition, body armour, $119,000 in cash, and three vehicles.
The investigation began at the street level in 2023 and culminated in the bust against drug wholesalers and distributors, police said. The date of the searches was not released….
